Elephanta Island has few number of restaurants to offer you a great verity in healthy and rich meals. We have tie-up with Restaurants which have collection of food from local home town cuisine to native culture cuisine, for e.g.- Punjabi special – allo-ke-parathe to south Indian- special Idili sambar. The taste of china is also available in few restaurants. This is sure to beat the sunny sun and keep you cool.

Shopping
There is a line of handy craft stores on the steps up the cave; you may buy what adore you on the way. The shops are lined on the stairs for the reason that can buy stuff on the go and not waste time. Few shops are entitled with a name rest are nameless.

It is always good to take back a souvenir, mementos as a remembrance of a special trip.

More than all listen to the melody of your own footsteps as you walk. The silence is truly golden. Enjoy the site of notaries monkeys imitating you, little squirrels chasing you n vanishing in tree holes. Keep your cameras ready to capture what you won’t find in city life, to capture the beauty of elephant caves. On the way to elephant caves you can also have some in the boat and enjoy the waters. Three local villages exist on Elephanta Island, which has a total of 1600 permanent population. Boats from gateway of Mumbai arrive on the port of one this village. The livelihood of the inhabitants of this small village relies on tourism thus; this village is filled with shops and restaurants. Their ancient culture involves earing by the means of fishing and agriculture.

We would recommend you to wear extremely comfortable clothes .To sit at easy in the boat and climb up the steps that lead to the cave with no difficulty. Also wear comfortable shoes like sports shoes. Strictly no high heels allowed. You carry sunglass. If your trip is the evening hours of February you may carry a shawl or sweater to keep you warm and avoid mosquitoes. Your comfort is our priority.
